What does "Triviad" mean?
It is a sort of play on words, and by itself doesnt actually mean anything. It is a merger of "Triad" and "Trivia", because we aim to provide 3 unique ways of creating and taking Quizzes. (Community pooled questions, custom quizzes unmoderated, "What are you?" quizzes)

What is the concept and goals behind Triviad.com?
We aim to establish a website that is completely devoted to collecting and organizing quiz questions. Where all other sites allow people to add questionaires which questions are never reused elsewhere, we are closing the gap on 'wasted time' from contributors: we aim to more efficiently use contributions and to create quizzes with randomly generated questions based on the pool of submitted questions.

How else is Triviad different?
The one feature that sets us apart from everyone else is that every question matters. Points are awarded for every right and wrong answer, but right answers give out many more points than wrong answers. Most sites have users to create a small quiz which that user creates all questions for that quiz. Your score would be based on your overall quiz score, and not question to question. We are also unique in that our quizzing website allows for you to stay on the same page and take as many trivia questions as you desire: Most sites would prefer you have to jump through 4 or 5 pages to get to another quiz so they can blast you with advertisements. We aim to create a quality quiz community.
We save how often each individual question is answered correctly. Based on this information, we provide users the ability to filter their own questions by selecting checkboxes to denote how easy or hard they would like questions to be. For example: If a question is answered correctly 90% of the time, it would be filed in the "Easy" category. You would not have this question available to answer unless you have the "Give me Easy questions" checkbox checked.

How are questions added?
All questions are submitted by members of this website, they are contributor based. Once submitted, all questions must be approved by our moderators and are reviewed within a few days of being submitted. When approved, the user that submitted the question gets bonus points added to their account. As soon as questions are approved, they immediately become active potential questions.

Why randomly generate and moderate questions?
By randomly generating questions no one user has a complete monopoly over that quiz category or test. This allows a fair playing field for everyone. By moderating questions, we also try to ensure that 'bogus questions' are not inserted into tests. We aim for quality.

What is the highest score possible?
Since submitting new questions will always give you more points, there is no limit on the total points you can earn! Every time a new subcategory opens up, more points become available as the maximum potential earned from simply taking quizzes.

How do you become a moderator?
When more moderator positions open up in the future, we will post about them on the home page with a link to an application form.
